What you are applying for
Most Pakistanis visiting Saudi Arabia for anything other than Umrah or Hajj go on a family and friends visit visa, requested by a relative or friend living there through KSA Visa, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' visa platform. The tourist e-visa is open to Pakistani passport holders only in certain cases: with a US, UK or Schengen visa already used to travel, permanent residence in the US, UK or EU, or a residence permit from a Gulf country.
For a family visit the decision rests mostly on your host — their status, the attestation of their invitation, and the relationship your documents prove. For the e-visa it rests on the supporting visa or residence. Either way, a Saudi visit visa lets you perform Umrah outside the Hajj season, and never lets you perform Hajj.
Most refusals come down to one of four
- 01An attested invitation
- 02A relationship documents prove
- 03A host with good status
- 04A qualifying visa, for the e-visa
